in third-person plural.
- Make sure pronoun agreement is accurate. Instead of writing, "A student (singular) had their
(plural) paper rejected." Write "A student (singular) had his (singular) paper rejected."
- Remember, "Its" is possessive
case, "It's" means "it is."
- Use transition sentences or paragraphs to lead the reader from one idea to the next in
a smooth meaningful manner.
- When using a direct quotes make sure to place them within quotation marks and include
page numbers.
- Review possessive case: student's (singular possessive), students' (plural possessive).
- Make
sure that citations in your work are included in your reference section and vis-a-versa.
